I wanted to take a moment to make a quick note to our Realtor partners: There have been many changes in how appraisals are done, reported and reviewed. Furthermore, there are more changes on the horizon. This will continue to result in a more involved and an even lengthier appraisal process. It certainly is frustrating at times. However, it is the nature of the current lending climate we find ourselves in. Please be aware that we (and the entire industry) are experiencing increased appraisal turn times. Please manage your transactions accordingly. I would suggest writing 45 days to close on your PA’s your standard practice.
